October 26th, 2009 pt.2

We got to AkaRob’s place and met the family.  We shot the breeze over a nice pasta dinner and talked about our visit at Foxwoods and our travels up to this point.  We learned that AkaRob was relatively new to dual sporting and that his ride is out of commission for the time being.  He had no qualms about taking the engine apart and fixing it himself…I don’t think I have the skill to do that…I’d be afraid I wouldn’t be able to put it back together again.   Later on that evening AkaRob suggested that we visit Mohegan Sun, the other competing casino.  We had a few glasses of wine during dinner so we were in no condition to ride, but thanks to AkaRob’s wife who gave us all a ride there.

Mohegan Sun had a different vibe than Foxwoods.  It had more of an earthy feel to it compared to the mall-like features at Foxwoods.  AkaRob was a fabulous guide who showed us around and taught us how to play keno, which was much easier than I had thought.  One of the things that stood out was the cool ceiling that changes from night to day and of course…the restrooms…the female restrooms to be more precise.

Shouldn't this be the other way around?...Nah!

Feeling bubbly.
Two casinos in one day.
Glad we’re not bankrupt.
