On the night before we left Radioman’s, he took us out to a bar in Portland called Plan B. This is where the local ADV crowd comes to hang out every Thursday night. It was a real treat because we got the opportunity to meet many ADV inmates who were following along with us on our threads.
Portland rush hour.
We stopped by at Andy & Bax Surplus first to pick up a set of dog tags for Amanda
We keep our blood type and health insurance number on them just in case
Made it to Plan B
I’m sure there is a story behind this
Inside the bar
Definitely has the punk / metal / rock theme going on.
Good food and really cheap Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer (PBR)
There was a great turn out and it was amazing to see so many different dual sport bikes; not to mention all the wonderful people we met there. We learned about an urban enduro that they have here every year; sounds like a lot of fun.
Blood alcohol levels in check, time to ride back to Radioman’s.
Forgot to mention that the flip-up mechanism on my helmet had malfunctioned beyond repair. Oh well, guess that means I’ll be getting a new one!
Me excited? Nah.
And the survey says…
…AFX FX-37 DS! My only beef with this helmet is that it was a pain in the butt to change the face shield. The nut that holds the screw for the face shield was loose inside the helmet; making it nearly impossible to loosen or tighten.
Resort to Plan B.
Many adventure riders.
A new brain bucket.
